The New Product Development Engineering Intern plays a hands‑on role in supporting the design and refinement of pumps, controls, and water‑handling systems used across residential, commercial, and industrial applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Experience with CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo, or similar).
  • Familiarity with engineering testing equipment and data acquisition tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in cross‑functional teams.
  • Interest in sustainable technologies and water‑related engineering challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Assist engineering teams in developing new pump and water‑handling products, components, and system solutions.
  • Build, assemble, and test prototypes to evaluate performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
  • Conduct engineering analyses, including fluid dynamics, thermal behavior, tolerance stack‑ups, and material evaluations.
  • Support laboratory testing by setting up equipment, collecting data, and documenting results.
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute ideas to improve product functionality, cost, and sustainability.
  • Create and update engineering documentation such as CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and test reports.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and sourcing teams to ensure smooth transition from prototype to production.
