Job Type: Summer Internship (not to exceed 90 days or 1,000hrs) Shift: Day Shift. Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8hr assigned shift between 7am-5pm. Pay Range: Targeted Starting rate $22.00/hr - $25.00/hr DOE What We Offer: Paid learning opportunity with a global manufacturing company. Hands on experience with products, designs, and drawings. Benefits are not offered for summer internship. WA Paid Sick & Safe Leave will be earned at 1hr for every 40hrs worked. Position Summary: To provide mechanical design support to the Timken Mounted Bearings Engineering Department for assigned projects during Summer 2026. Start date flexible. This position is 100% based on site.

Requirements

  • AutoCAD training.
  • 3D CAD basic training.
  • Technical aptitude in Windows 11 and Microsoft Outlook.
  • 2yr Mechanical Design or engineering educational program: 50-100% complete.
  • Current or graduating student enrolled in a 2yr Mechanical Design program.
  • At least 1yr of technical training, specifically in mechanical design and drawing.

Nice To Haves

  • Graduating student preferred, but will consider current students.

Responsibilities

  • Process red line reviews and corrections of engineered drawings from backlog file.
  • Review parts library for corrections and clean-up.
  • Assist with file management and organization projects.
  • Provide general drawing database maintenance.
  • Perform miscellaneous job related duties as assigned.
