About The Position

Hudson Technologies (Hudson), based in Woodcliff Lake, NJ, is a company founded on superior engineering and chemistry know-how to solve problems related to refrigerants and their effect on chiller performance. Hudson brings the most technologically advanced patented and proprietary equipment and refrigerant-side processes together with the most highly skilled and trained professionals to assist customers operate their systems more efficiently and reduce their operating costs. Hudson is also the premier outsourced provider of refrigerant-side services relating to emergency situations. Hudson has expanded rapidly in recent years and has outgrown its current facilities. The company is undertaking a major automation effort and is simultaneously consolidating its Champaign Illinois operations into a substantially larger building. Hudson is currently seeking a highly motivated entry level Industrial Engineering Intern to work alongside the engineering and operations team coordinating this consolidation and automation of production.

Requirements

Working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering
Basic knowledge of instruments and Industrial Engineering Techniques.
Good knowledge of the use of software (AutoCAD, MS Office tools, etc.)
Effective communication skills in both written and oral forms

Responsibilities

Rudimentary understanding of existing Hudson Operations processes (e.g. refrigerant reclamation, separation)
Developing ideas to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs of Hudson Operations
Modeling of, new work cells, new process equipment layouts, etc. using engineering software
Gathering data and preparing reports to update senior management
Managing the creation, storage, maintenance and updates of blueprints - P&IDs, PFDs, floor plans, process unit layouts, wiring diagrams, etc. – in AutoCAD or any other convenient software, as required by Operations
Working with other Hudson divisions on new projects related to R-Side services, reclamation and separation
