About The Position

This internship provides hands-on experience in both manufacturing and design engineering, with responsibilities tailored to your skills and interests. Based on your strengths, you may focus more on manufacturing process improvements or product / equipment design.

Review applications and use computer aided drafting and design systems to create and develop detailed drawings and designs.
Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Electrical Engineering (or related degree)
Strong understanding of engineering principles and design fundamentals.
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
Ability to collaborate in a hands-on, fast paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, Auto CAD), or similar relevant engineering software is a plus.
Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, automation, or product design.

Responsibilities

Support process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve production flow.
Assist with data analysis on production metrics to identify bottlenecks and recommend optimizations.
Work on tooling and equipment upgrades, helping with troubleshooting and modifications.
Develop and update work instructions, SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures), and manufacturing documentation.
Collaborate with production teams to implement automation and lean manufacturing initiatives.
Assist in product, tooling, or equipment design, including CAD modeling and prototyping.
Conduct test and validation of designs to ensure performance and reliability.
Work on design improvements for manufacturability and cost reduction.
Create and maintain engineering drawings and technical documentation.
Support the development of standardized design processes and best practices.
