About The Position

As a member of Airgas's Engineering Solutions Group, based in Twinsburg, OH, this individual will play a key role in the growth of Airgas's bulk, industrial, and Specialty Gas business through the design and installation of equipment to support Airgas's portfolio of gas applications to the various industries we serve. With a focus on Safety, Functionality and Reliability, both internally and externally, this position will be focused on providing Airgas customers with support and development of complete process solutions, including gases, technology and equipment.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, metallurgical or chemical engineering preferred. Relevant co-op or work experience and/or training considered.
  • Prior internship or work in a professional environment is preferred.
  • Leadership experience in extracurriculars will be considered.
  • Dependable, quick learner who is independent and works well with others

  • Detail-oriented and quality focused
  • Ability and desire to work in industrial environments
  • Strong verbal communication, organization, scheduling skills
  • Ability to act with professionalism, customer focus, and confidentiality

  • Able to save and maintain electronic files
  • Ability to learn and use additional 3rd party software programs
  • Ability to write routine business reports and business correspondence in English.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Associates and/or customers.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals using the English language.
  • Strong Mathematical abilities including ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and to compute rate, ratio, and percentages
  • Ability to prioritize workload and self-manage projects, handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Support the engineering, fabrication, and procurement process for both internal and external projects.
  • Assist in the development of project proposals, cost estimates and budgets, timelines and schedules.
  • Champion individual projects that can vary from customer projects to internal improvements.
  • Support and comply with all process safety management and risk management plan practices.
  • Support all personnel policies directed by local and corporate personnel.
  • Adhere to any customer safety policies while onsite at customer locations.
