About The Position

We are proactively seeking Electrical Engineering Interns for 2026 ! At HRG , we pride ourselves on being an employee-owned, nationally recognized consulting engineering, planning, and infrastructure solutions firm. We are proactively seeking an Engineering Intern | Electrical . As an Engineering Intern | Electrical at HRG , you will gain valuable knowledge and hands-on experience in various elements of electrical engineering design. You will support/focus on Power and Control Systems for Water & Wastewater Facilities and Lighting Designs .

Requirements

• Electrical Engineering (or related field) student working towards Bachelor's Degree, preferably from an ABET-accredited program
• E.I.T. certification preferred, but not required
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• AutoCAD experience preferred
• Team player, strong communication, and organizational skills
• Flexibility to travel to job sites, meetings, and other offices as necessary, which may include overnight stays
• Valid US Driver’s License is required
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

• E.I.T. certification preferred
• AutoCAD experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Working closely with the members of the Electrical Team
• Working alongside members of other disciplines to understand project needs
• Performing basic calculations
• Conducting site visits for projects in design and construction phases
• Reviewing project design manual(s) for specification requirements
• Travel to other regions and/or offices as required for projects
