We are currently seeking an Engineering Fleet Project Manager. A successful candidate will be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Lead project delivery together with the cross functional team (sales, manufacturing, quality, safety, supply chain, etc):

Requirements

  • Challenge effectively
  • Engineering degree preferred
  • Automotive engineering experience of 10+ years preferred
  • Automotive project management experience of 5+ years preferred
  • Project Manager with people management of 2+ years preferred
  • Certified and grounded in Project Management Principles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Project
  • Demonstrate skills and behavior in flawless product launches
  • Must meet and maintain all requirements to be a 'Driver' as defined in Adrian Steel Fleet Corporate Driving Policy
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Travel Required

Responsibilities

  • Engage with engineers on a regular basis (multiple times per week) to understand project status and ensure project stays on track
  • Escalate any major project issues to the chief engineer if help is required
  • Anticipate issues in advance and initiate team recovery plans
  • Lead complex engineering issues to completion with the team
  • Lead BOM development with sales and design engineer to insure vehicles and parts show up to support on-time prototype and validation build start
  • Drive the development of the project requirements, DFMEA's and DVP&R's through to sign-off by the team members
  • Manage timeline (MS Project for large scale projects) and open issues list
  • Deliver projects on-time, on-quality, on-cost and to meet customer requirements.
  • Identify and lead process improvements to drive speed to market
