YOUR DAY AS AN ENGINEERING DRAFTSMAN When you join our welding company as an Engineering Draftsman, you start your day reviewing project specifications from engineers and other professionals, then open your CAD software to develop detailed technical drawings and plans. You work closely with engineers to confirm that every dimension and detail meets project requirements and industry codes, revising your drawings as project managers share feedback. Throughout the day, you convert sketches and concept designs into precise technical renderings, maintain and update CAD libraries, and help prepare project documentation and reports. You juggle multiple projects at once, performing careful quality checks on your work for accuracy and completeness, and you keep drawings and specifications organized so the entire team can access what they need and stay on schedule. YOUR HOURS This Draftsman role works a consistent schedule of Monday-Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, with occasional evening and weekendd hours as job duties demand .

Requirements

  • Proficiency in CAD software
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, industry standards, and regulations
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Experience with 3D modeling and rendering software
  • Knowledge of advanced CAD techniques and tools
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
  • Effective time management skills to handle multiple projects
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Willingness to learn new software and techniques as needed
  • Must pass a Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Screening
  • Must pass a background check and motor vehicle record check
