About The Position

Original Entrance - Introduction This examination is open to all candidates, both internal and external, who meet the minimum requirements. Applications will be accepted only during the designated filing period for this examination. The opening and closing dates of the filing period are listed in this announcement. Original Entrance - Examination Duties: Under general supervision, prepare multi-discipline engineering drawings used for contract bidding and construction using computer aided drafting and design (CADD) tools; reviews drawings for conformance with District CADD standards; supports project managers and project engineers in setting and meeting schedules for project deliverables; and supervises subordinate draftsmen.

Requirements

  • Possession of an associate degree in computer aided drafting and design (CADD) in the Architectural/Engineering/Construction (AEC) discipline and three years of drafting experience in support of professional architects or engineers, which must include the use of computer-aided drafting and design equipment and software.
  • Substitution : Computer aided drafting and design (CADD) experience in support of professional architects or engineers may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
