The Engineering Development (Eng Dev) Manager for US Defense Engineering oversees the acquisition, training, development, and retention of over 6,000 engineers to meet the critical needs of our $5B business. In this role you would be required to develop strategies, in close collaboration with engineering departments and Human Resources, to acquire and retain ES engineering talent, and to facilitate the technical, professional, and personal development of ES engineers. This role will report to the Engineering Operations and Capability (EOC) Deputy Director, and will be accountable for delivering on strategic objectives aligned to business goals, including financial targets. Qualified candidates for this role have a solid understanding of engineering principles and a strategic mindset in order to develop and maintain fundamental, critical and emerging knowledge offerings to ensure talent readiness. In this role you will also guide a skilled team of experts who provide programs, tools, resources, and networks to support employees' technical abilities, leadership skills, career planning, and personal effectiveness. Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.
