The Engineering Deployment Site Practitioner will support the full lifecycle of a Electronic Health Record (EHR) system implementation across multiple medical centers. The Practitioner is responsible for performing/organizing discovery efforts at various hospitals & clinics (i.e. sites) related to End User Devices (EUDs), interfaced systems, & Data Drops & Power Outlets (DDPO) and will then perform post discovery analysis to inform technical scope and requirements. Building an understanding of the client's list of standard capabilities, devices, and interfaces is essential to perform meaningful discovery and gap analysis. Strong written and oral communication skills are required, as is a proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Project, PowerPoint). Throughout the remainder of the deployment lifecycle, the Practitioner will support device procurement tracking & logistics, own relationships with local site IT leaders and other technology / network / engineering groups, and overall support the technical readiness of a transition to a new EHR. This may involve external vendor management/coordination, cutover planning & support, project management of engineering activities. Semi-frequent travel expected to hospitals and clinics in various geographies. Significant client interaction is expected. Previous hospital/clinic assessment experience, familiarity with system interfaces & medical device interfaces, previous Oracle EHR (or similar vendors) is preferred.
