As an Engineering Delivery Manager at BAE Systems, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and delivering an engineering development strategy for projects using the principles of incremental and agile development. You will create a supportive and collaborative team working environment, which includes people management responsibilities. Your role will involve owning the engineering budgets, ensuring adherence to schedules, and maintaining the quality of the product designed to meet customer requirements. You will assess engineering risks and develop mitigation strategies, as well as maintain the Engineering Management Plan that describes all aspects of engineering work for the programme. Additionally, you will support the development of subcontracted items and own the 'Design Fors' with a focus on design for life, including manufacturing, testing, reliability, and maintainability. Facilitating technical decisions for the project and utilizing Maturity Management to validate the correctness of work produced by the team will also be key aspects of your role.
