About The Position

Amentum is seeking an Engineering Data Tools Developer for a 10-week summer internship supporting the Space Force Range contract (SFRC). Position Summary Requirements & Implementation: Develop, test, and deploy data collection and visualization tools to streamline Engineering Department workflows. MS365 Integration: Build tools leveraging SharePoint for file management, MS Teams for collaboration, and Power BI for reporting. Documentation & Governance: Create, maintain, and document written policies for all workflow tools. Training & Support: Train engineering staff and managers on the effective use and maintenance of developed solutions.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a college, or university program as a sophomore or higher (or a recent graduate)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage tasks, stay organized, and meet deadlines
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or similar tools
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and work in a team environment
  • Interest in SFRC related fields (administration, research, operations, fieldwork, or technical disciplines)
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with data entry, research methods, or project coordination
  • Familiarity with digital collaboration tools (Teams, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge relevant to the SFRC’s focus area (e.g., operations, field services, research, conservation, engineering—depending on the organization)

Responsibilities

  • Assist SFRC Engineering staff with ongoing projects, reports, and documentation.
  • Conduct research, gather data, and prepare summaries or presentations.
  • Support Corrosion Control management activities
  • Perform general administrative tasks, including scheduling, organizing files, and preparing materials.
  • Help maintain project tracking systems, databases, and internal records.
  • Participate in team meetings, workshops, or community outreach activities.
  • Collaborate with cross functional departments to support broader SFRC initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.
