About The Position

As a Senior Engineering Business Development Manager, you will be the vital bridge between our customers’ visions and our world-class technical operations. In this high-impact role, you won’t just "sell"—you will lead the pursuit of new accounts, cultivate "One Plexus" partnerships, and leverage your expertise in Manufacturing and Engineering solutions to drive profitable growth across the sector. The Role Business Acquisition: Win the "big bets." You’ll lead the charge in securing profitable initial engagements and represent our engineering capabilities as a competitive wedge to win new manufacturing business. Strategic Growth & Advisory: Become a trusted advisor. You aren’t just a contact person; you are a measurable contributor to your customer’s growth, ensuring long-term, win-win relationships and brand alignment. The "One Plexus" Experience: Take full ownership of the customer journey. From leading high-stakes site visits to collaborating across departments, you ensure every touchpoint reinforces our value. Market Intelligence: Influence the future. By capturing the Voice of the Customer and analyzing global market trends, you’ll provide the ROI-based insights that shape our next generation of service offerings. Technical Guidance: Serve as the subject matter expert for our Go-to-Market teams, guiding them through the strategic selling process for complex, high-level engineering opportunities.

Requirements

  • A Technical Mindset: You possess a solid background in product commercialization aspects including test strategy, DFX, and test development, allowing you to navigate complex technical discussions with ease.
  • Negotiation Power: You are an organized leader with a "closer" mentality, blending sales principles with the ability to manage intricate project lifecycles.
  • Collaborative Spirit: You thrive in cross-functional environments, working seamlessly with Engineering Solutions and Operations to deliver a unified "One Plexus" front.
  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or a related technical field) is essential.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of professional experience in a related field.
  • Travel: This is a hands-on role. You should be ready to hit the road up to 40% of the time to engage with customers and collaborate at Plexus sites.
