Job Summary: Trane Technologies Co-Op Program provides current college students with meaningful assignments, leadership training, valuable exposure to our company's senior leaders and opportunities to network. Our Co-Op program is offered to students pursuing a degree in Engineering from concentrations such as Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace and more. Co-ops will operate full-time from January to August or May to December as we work with your University towards Academic Credit for your work. Where is the work: Onsite in McGregor, TX – $3500 relocation/housing stipend is provided prior to starting. This position has been designated as onsite. What you will do: We have various co-op positions available; examples of potential work assignments are: Mechanical Engineering Co-Op: Cultivate untapped value of our product through an analysis of large amount of customer use profile data. Lead cross-functional team to complete quality and productivity initiatives Complete analysis supporting long range architecture planning for new and sustained products Support engineering plans for new product development programs Represent Trane Technologies by Uplifting through our community STEM programs Electrical Engineering Co-Op: Perform troubleshooting procedures assigned by electronic hardware design engineers. Perform product testing procedures assigned by electronic hardware design engineers. Organize and report results of analysis work to engineers and product managers. Review electronic component datasheets and specifications to identify substitute lower cost parts. Manage, manipulate, and organize large component pricing MS Excel spreadsheets. Effectively meet the needs of internal and external customers. Quality Engineering Co-Op: Quality system development for new products and existing products Partnering with Internal Audit for process improvement and documenting quality procedures Analyzing processes, documentation, and production for quality improvement Ad-hoc projects based on skill-level, degree, or general interest As we hire the majority of our full-time positions through our intern & co-op talent, successful candidates will have an opportunity to interview for full-time positions. What you will bring: We are looking for enthusiastic, innovative team members who understand the importance of collaboration and customer focus.

Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled and pursuing a BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related major
  • Must be available to work Full-time for 6-8 consecutive months (January-August or May-December)
  • Collaborate with others to foster effective teamwork by linking own responsibilities to the team’s goals and needs - zeal for new information, knowledge, and experiences
  • Establish courses of action for self and others to ensure work is completed efficiently; ability to prioritize tasks based on importance
  • Demonstrated leadership: campus organizations, sports team captain, resident advisor, etc. or exceptional leadership on work projects
  • U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
