The role … How would you like to use your engineering experience and join a dynamic company that solves complex engineering challenges? We are currently seeking an Engineering Co-op to be a part of a team working on nuclear and military HVAC projects. You will be involved in the design, engineering, manufacturing, and testing of custom-designed HVAC systems, including chillers, air conditioners, high-efficiency filtration, and absorption systems, coolers, fans, dampers, and accessories. This is a 1st shift position located at our manufacturing facility in Batavia, OH.

Requirements

  • Candidates seeking a BS/MS Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering
  • Candidates who are 1-4 years away from graduation from an Engineering School or University
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications
  • Highly motivated candidates with great communication skills
  • This position is an entry-level co-op role
  • Our co-ops are assigned to a senior-level engineer who mentors you
  • We are looking to hire candidates who are in good standing with your university and/or field of study
  • The duration of our co-op assignments is typically 10-12 weeks, dependent upon your school’s co-op rotational program
  • We require pre-employment drug/alcohol testing and a background check

Nice To Haves

  • Candidates who preferably have CAD or drafting experience

Responsibilities

  • Utilize and apply the principles of engineering, organizational, and interpersonal skills in a real-world engineering environment
  • Interact with engineering, design, manufacturing, purchasing, and sales personnel, as well as our customers
  • Support the development of equipment designs that are safe, functional, reliable, economical, serviceable, and marketable
  • Select and specify components, materials, and purchased parts, including writing specifications for custom components
  • Investigate and resolve manufacturing, test, and service problems as they arise
  • Perform other duties as assigned
