About The Position

The Role: The Engineering Change Coordinator (ECC) is the plant’s primary owner for coordinating and implementing engineering changes that impact Flint Engine. This role ensures that all engineering changes are understood, planned, validated, and executed without disrupting safety, quality, or production. The ECC works cross‑functionally with Engineering, Quality, Production, Suppliers and Global Supply Chain (GSC) to manage types of product or process changes from initial request through production trial run (PTR), breakpoint, and obsolescence.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing, global supply chain, materials, or engineering supporting plant operations.
  • Working knowledge of key change and material management systems/processes (e.g., MGO, FlexNet, SQMS, SPCR, PTR, PPAP, EWO/TWO).
  • Strong data analysis and problem‑solving skills; comfortable using Excel and Microsoft Office to analyze inventory, banks, and change impacts.
  • Proven ability to work cross‑functionally with Production, Quality, Engineering, Suppliers, and Logistics.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to lead meetings and clearly summarize decisions, risks, and next steps.
  • Must be able to work on a rotating/flexible shift (1st, 2nd or 3rd), as well as overtime and weekends, as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field. Or equivalent manufacturing/materials experience in a plant environment.
  • Direct involvement with engineering change management, CIC/ECC responsibilities, and/or PTR planning and execution.
  • Understanding of BIQ, GMS, PFCM, and plant readiness processes.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple concurrent changes and priorities in a high‑volume, fast‑paced production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the plant change owner / change implementation coordinator (CIC) for engineering changes impacting the facility.
  • Own end‑to-end coordination of product and process changes from initiation through PTR, breakpoint, and obsolescence, using change‑management systems (e.g., eMERGE, MGO, SQMS, SPCR).
  • Lead recurring Change Readiness / Engineering Change reviews, driving alignment on scope, timing, PTR plans, and plant readiness across all stakeholders.
  • Plan and manage Production Trial Runs (PTRs), including trial material planning, build scheduling, required documentation, and communicating results and follow‑up actions.
  • Maintain accurate part and engine configurations, routings, broadcast/stockman data, and PPAP/usage set‑ups for new and changed parts (e.g., in FlexNet, MGO).
  • Define and manage breakpoints and material consumption strategies to minimize scrap, inventory risk, and production disruption.
  • Maintain and continuously improve standard work, reporting, and STS/TIS for the ECC role to support consistent execution and clear communication to plant leadership.
