About The Position

The Engineering/B.I. Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing the liaison engineers and BI function for Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO), Airworthiness Directive (AD), Service Bulletin (SB), and Passenger-To-Freighter (PTF) conversion work packages for wide-body commercial aircraft. The aircraft liaison engineer supervisor serves as the critical link between design engineering, manufacturing, and maintenance teams, ensuring technical issues during aircraft production, modifications, or repairs are resolved while adhering to safety/compliance standards. The role also oversees and directs B.I. deliverables such as dashboards, reporting, and high-level business analytics. The Engineers and BI supervisor serves as a key leader between Operations, Quality, and Leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Five or more years of liaison engineering experience in aviation
  • Ten years minimum of experience reading aircraft manuals and drawings
  • Five years minimum of aviation supervisory experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Strong Familiarity with Microsoft Excel
  • Must be able to legally work in the US without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Airframe & Powerplant license
  • Experience with 777 aircraft strongly preferred
  • Passenger-to-Freighter (P2F) conversion experience
  • Experience with Empower MX
  • Ability to create/provide direction in Power BI/Microsoft Office Suite programs
  • Experience in developing and maintaining KPI reporting
  • Experience in process development and continuous improvement in an aircraft maintenance or modification environment

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and provide on-site technical support, develop repairs, and bridge the gap between engineering intent and production reality.
  • Production/Repair Support: Assisting with non-conformances, troubleshooting assembly/parts issues, and designing structural repairs IAW approved data.
  • Technical Communication: Acting as the liaison between engineering and production, translating design, and interpreting drawings for manufacturing.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Analyzing failure and providing technical dispositions for damaged aircraft.
  • Compliance: Ensuring all repairs and modifications comply with regulatory and company standards
  • Assist operations with Airworthiness Directives (AD) and Service Bulletins (SB)
  • Review customer-provided MRO and PTF data packages to assist with any issues or improvements to parts, material, and tool requirements
  • Assist in the capture and analysis of data during the execution of MRO and PTF projects, and participate in schedule optimization and process improvement activities
  • Coordinate with Operations to develop Key Performance Indicators (KPI), extract relevant data, distribute KPI reports, and participate in discussions on the KPIs
  • Assume responsibility for maintaining effective communication, coordination, and working relations with company personnel and management
  • Resolve documentation issues related to aircraft changes noted during use of task cards
  • Perform on-aircraft documentation as required
  • Assume responsibility for related duties as required or assigned
  • May require supervision of night and weekend aircraft work
