About The Position

Under general supervision, supports, designs and/or develops systems/programs/macros to facilitate the effort of cross functional teams to develop, implement and execute plans that improve engineering business operations and the aircraft design and delivery process. Identifies root cause solutions and eliminates barriers. Serves as a primary resource in introducing and implementing new technology by utilizing knowledge of application systems analysis and programming. Serves as a primary interface with support groups for systems requirements and problem resolution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or Administration, Computer Science, Technical Communication, Engineering, or related curriculum or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Entry level.
  • Computer literate.
  • Capable of working within the various software applications utilized throughout the corporation associated with aircraft build.
  • Project management skills with advanced working knowledge of advanced aircraft manufacturing techniques.
  • Proven ability to gather and analyze data and work with teams and individuals to develop and achieve measurable goals on time and on budget.
  • This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Nice To Haves

  • Operational and/or Quality experience to include exposure with LEAN/Six Sigma tools and concepts preferred.
  • Aerospace engineering or manufacturing experience, with emphasis in Systems integration, preferred.
  • Experience with aircraft interior teams and data preferred.
  • Experience with Power BI required

Responsibilities

  • Work with all stakeholders; vendors, procurement, operations, engineering etc. to ensure critical aircraft delivery milestones are met
  • Support the technical and nontechnical roles and output of departments across engineering sites for all aircraft models
  • Analyzes existing processes across functional groups such as Engineering, Materials, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Quality by applying Value Stream Mapping and Critical Path Analysis.
  • Generate and implement improvement action plans
  • Utilize standardized tools to measure, gather and analyze leading indicator metrics. Proactively address negative trends that may adversely affect schedule performance
  • Interfaces with Engineering and/or Operations to status and forecast progress on delivery schedule or other key project schedule milestones
  • Share with leadership any daily operational status meetings and conference calls with cross-functional team
  • Maintains a current knowledge of developments and applications of technical principles, theories, and concepts in assigned field of expertise
  • Perform other duties as assigned
