Requirements

  • One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.
  • Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Responsibilities

  • Provides engineering support services
  • Works in development lab and with prototype materials in the development of new products and processes
  • Performs operations for the purposes of testing, evaluating and qualifying
  • Documents operations and experiments using established formats
  • Assists in maintenance and debugging work performed by engineering department
  • Confers with management and engineering staff to implement plans and recommendations
  • Prepares charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling, and machine utilization
  • Recommends revision of methods of operation or material handling, alterations in equipment layout, or other changes to increase production or improve standards
  • Adhere to all Company policies, rules, procedures and housekeeping standards
  • Follows the official policy for Good Manufacturing Practices as required in the Medical Device Amendments to the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act
  • Provides feedback and pro-active communication to supervisor, management, and co-workers to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Contributes input to management based on knowledge of processes toward process and product improvement efforts of the company
  • Provide other department and manufacturing support as requested by immediate supervisor
  • Other Duties related to engineering may be assigned as needed
