About The Position

As an Engineering Assistant Manager , you will oversee engineering projects, guide the team, and ensure projects are delivered effectively while balancing both technical and leadership duties. This role will be heavily focused on six key elements: Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and execute engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor engineering teams, assigning tasks and providing guidance to ensure high performance and professional development. Resource Allocation: Manage resources effectively, including budgeting and securing necessary materials and tools for projects. Process Improvement: Strive to enhance efficiency and sustainability in engineering processes and product designs, reducing waste and improving quality. Collaboration: Work closely with other departments and management personnel to align engineering goals with organizational objectives and ensure seamless communication across teams. Research and Development: Lead initiatives for developing new products, processes, and technologies, staying updated with industry trends and advancements).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Master’s in Engineering Management, or Technology Management.
  • At least 2 or more years of relevant experience in engineering, development or related roles.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong background in engineering principles relevant to the specific industry (e.g., software, mechanical, civil).
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Project Management: Experience in managing complex projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey project requirements and updates to stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical skills to identify issues and implement effective solutions quickly.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with battery pack or ESS system quality control.
  • Understanding of BMS (Battery Management Systems), PCS (Power Conversion Systems)
  • Experience working with global customers or regulatory compliance for international markets.
  • Certifications in ISO, Six Sigma (Green Belt/Black Belt), or equivalent.
