Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/medtech The Asset Management Lead will supervise a dedicated team of engineers and technicians, leading all aspects of asset management and engineering projects within the manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering is required.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience in the critical medical device industrial environment or pharmaceutical, working with control systems, manufacturing equipment, etc.
  • Knowledge in computerized systems.
  • Verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Demonstrates positive interpersonal skills and professional interactions with coworkers.
  • Demonstrates troubleshooting skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrates strong computer skills, such as the use of Microsoft Office and Minitab, preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of installation of programs and concepts of mechanics and electronics.
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of SAP and Maximo, is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Oversee and mentor engineers and technicians in maintenance, ensuring high standards of performance and professional development. Capable of leading a team across departmental borders to promote collaboration and innovative solutions.
  • Asset Management: Implement and manage effective asset management processes to optimize the lifecycle of equipment and machinery, ensuring reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Machine Safety: In collaboration with Machine Safety Engineer, ensure that all equipment and processes meet safety standards and regulations, implementing safety protocols and conducting regular audits to maintain a safe work environment for all personnel.
  • CMMS Management: Oversee administration and enhancement the Computerized Maintenance Management System to track maintenance activities, equipment performance, and resource allocation.
  • Spare Parts Management: In collaboration with Manufacturing Spare Parts Administrator, lead an inventory system for spare parts to minimize downtime and ensure timely availability of necessary components.
  • Plans and directs engineering activities
  • Coordinates the creation, development, design, and improvement of corporate products in conformance with established programs and objectives.
  • Provides engineering advice and assistance to other department as required.
  • Interfaces directly with other departments, sites, and corporate functional groups to drive and/or support critical business goals/objectives within GMP/ISO compliance.
  • Lead Support continuous improvement activities to ensure business key performance indicators are met.
  • Supervises engineers, technicians, and engineering activities to ensure on time delivery of comprehensive and accurate installation specifications, equipment and material requirements, and record updates to customers and the organization.
  • Allocate, schedules, and tracks engineering resources required to fulfill departmental commitments.
  • Establish priorities to engineers aligned to business needs.
  • Analyzes project technical requirements and institute specific guidelines for the immediate engineering activity.
  • Monitors and maintain projects efficiency with emphasis on accuracy and budgeted time.
  • Serves as the initial escalation contact for issues resolution within the define area.
  • Assists Engineering Manager with overseeing training, and implementing engineering policies and procedures.
  • Provides evaluative input on individual work efforts.
  • Support the Quality System by participating as Engineering SME in VRB, DRB, CAPA evaluation, audits, and quality triage.
  • Sets the engineering standard and direction for the group and recognized as the source for mentor ship in a filed.
  • Financial management and scheduling - Prepare project estimates for design, equipment, installation, materials, labor, and other related costs. Prepare project forecast, schedules, and track cost.
  • Assign resource of engineers to support manufacturing in a day to day troubleshooting of equipment to ensure increase production outputs and increase operation team capabilities.
  • Ensure engineering team follows standard operating procedures (SOP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), company policies, and federal, state, and local government regulations.
  • Stay in sync with all environmental, safety, and occupational health policies.
