About The Position

The Engineering Analyst (Part-time) will support the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) Safety and Mission Assurance Services II (SMAS II) contract space program located in Huntsville, AL. This role involves hands-on technical work in various disciplines within NASA Safety & Mission Assurance (SMA) under the supervision of senior engineers. Opportunities include basic engineering tasks related to design, analysis, test, integration, and systems engineering, such as performing analysis on existing flight hardware, assisting in the design and development of future hardware, and conducting analysis for both completed and future launches. Activities may also include data analysis, analysis methodology improvement projects, software improvement projects, trade studies, and managing quality and project records. The analyst will support experienced engineers, shadow actual operations, and undertake unique assignments that contribute to larger projects, gaining experience in the day-to-day workings of engineering.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship due to the sensitivity of customer related information
  • Must have a High School or equivalent
  • Must be pursuing a bachelor's degree
  • Must have a minimum of 0 years of recent and related work experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and TEAMS
  • Be a team player with strong work ethics and be culture oriented
  • Able to communicate effectively, verbally and in written form, with internal and external customers
  • Able to follow company programs, processes, procedures, practices, requirements, goals, and objectives
  • Organized with good time management skills
  • Able to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements
  • Able to pass a national agency check
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and are required to participate in periodic random drug and alcohol screenings
