About The Position

The Fairfield Inn & Suites in Rogers, AR is hiring a Part-Time Engineer for evenings and weekends. This role is integral to upholding MCR's universal standards, which prioritize cleanliness, friendliness, well-organization, and safety for guests. Key areas of excellence include ensuring happy guests, maintaining spotless cleanliness, delivering product consistency and quality, and fostering teamwork. The Engineer will be responsible for responding to guest repair requests, performing preventative maintenance according to the hotel's PM Program, ensuring compliance with safety and health codes (including pool and spa areas), reporting emergency concerns, conducting full property walks at the beginning and end of shifts to identify and address maintenance needs, and keeping all maintenance areas clean and organized.

• Arrive and clock in on time for every shift worked and clock out at the scheduled shift ending time, unless otherwise directed by your immediate supervisor.
• Never work while off the clock.
• Clock in/out for breaks at the designated time on your schedule.
• Provide sufficient notice as directed by your supervisor when calling out for a scheduled shift.
• Ability to carry out physical working demands such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, standing, walking, repetitive motions, and lifting 50+ lbs.
• Read, write, understand and communicate with others effectively using the English language.

Nice To Haves

• Technical, Trade or Vocational school degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of work-related experience in a commercial facility, hospitality or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile.
• Use the guests’ names whenever possible, ensuring they feel properly welcomed.
• Contribute to great guest satisfaction scores.
• Handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and a sense of urgency.
• Maintain strong knowledge of all features of the hotel facility and amenities.
• Be aware of and support all groups and events at the hotel.
• Understand relevant technology for the role.
• Answer all incoming calls with friendly service using the approved greeting.
• Keep all areas, both front and back of the house, clean and well-organized.
• Pitch in to clean guest rooms and public spaces as needed.
• Complete all operational checklists accurately and at the designated times, every shift.
• Ensure handover reports are accurate and on time, for effective shift-to-shift communication.
• Wear a clean, approved uniform and be well-groomed per the Team Member Handbook, while wearing a nametag and smiling at all times.
• Maintain clear, honest, and professional communication between Team Members.
• Be willing to stretch beyond traditional role to meet the needs of the business and MCR’s guests.
• Work together with all Team Members at all levels to create a welcoming environment for guests and an effective, positive workplace.
• Respond to all requests from guests for general repairs when requested, confirm and document completion through the electronic work order platform.
• Keep all room and public space Preventative Maintenance work up to date and on schedule in accordance with the hotel provided PM Program.
• Ensure all safety measures are followed in accordance with your approved work checklist.
• Ensure that pool and spa follow area health codes.
• Report any emergency or life safety concerns to your immediate supervisor and General Manager.
• Respond to emergency situations using information contained in Material Safety Data sheets.
• Conduct full property walks, at minimum, at the beginning and end of your scheduled shift.
• Note, document and complete any maintenance needs during property walks.
• Keep all maintenance areas clean and well-organized during shift and prior to departure.
