About The Position

We're seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with hands-on UL 508A experience to design, develop, and support industrial control panels for automation and manufacturing systems. You'll be a key player on our engineering team, working with customers and production teams to deliver compliant, reliable systems.

Requirements

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical degree
• 5+ years experience designing and building UL 508A industrial control panels
• Proficiency in electrical CAD software ( AutoCAD Electrical , EPLAN , or similar)
• Knowledge of NEC , NFPA 79 , and relevant safety/grounding standards
• Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, relays, and industrial control components (e.g., WAGO, Advantech, Mitsubishi, ABB, and others)

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in a UL-certified panel shop
• Understanding of machine safety systems or functional safety design (ISO 13849, etc.)
• Prior field installation or commissioning experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Design industrial control panels in compliance with UL 508A , NFPA 70 , and NFPA 79
• Create electrical schematics and panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical or similar
• Develop bills of materials (BOMs), wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
• Work with UL inspectors and internal QA to ensure panel shop certification compliance
• Support the panel build process with shop floor troubleshooting as needed
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, support, project management, PLC, and field service technicians
