About The Position

This role involves responding to guest repair requests, performing minor plumbing and general repairs, and conducting preventative maintenance on tools and equipment. The Engineer is responsible for maintaining daily logs of operation, maintenance, and safety activities, and communicating with guests to resolve maintenance issues. The position requires adherence to all company safety and security policies, reporting problems, and completing safety training. It also entails maintaining a professional appearance, ensuring confidentiality, protecting company assets, and providing excellent guest service by welcoming and acknowledging guests, anticipating their needs, and assisting individuals with disabilities. The Engineer is expected to speak professionally, develop positive working relationships with colleagues, and ensure quality standards are met. Physical demands include reaching, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, moving up and down stairs/ladders, and manipulating objects.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • At least 2 years of related work experience
  • No supervisory experience
  • No license or certification

Responsibilities

  • Respond and attend to guest repair requests
  • Fix minor plumbing problems such as unclogging drains, plunging toilets, and repairing leaky spigots and faucets
  • Perform miscellaneous minor repairs such as tightening loose toilet seats, changing light bulbs, and patching holes in walls
  • Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication
  • Maintain daily logs of operation, maintenance, and safety activities
  • Communicate with guests/customers when necessary to resolve maintenance issues
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures
  • Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries
  • Complete safety training and certifications
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
  • Protect company assets
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
  • Anticipate and address guests’ service needs
  • Assist individuals with disabilities
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others
  • Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees
