About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production, high quality, and cost-effectiveness. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows, troubleshoot issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or process improvement.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and manufacturing systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with automation and robotics.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and data analysis tools.
  • Project management experience.
  • Green or Black Belt Certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Design and optimize production layouts, tools, and equipment.
  • Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions using lean tools Kaizen events, SMED, and DMAIC tools.
  • Collaborate with design and quality teams to ensure manufacturability of new products. Poka yoke processes when possible.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
  • Develop standard work for processes using work instructions, OMS (Operational Method Sheet’s) and MOP (Machine Operational Process).
  • Engage with operations, discover their pain points and address.
  • Focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
  • Participate in daily GEMBA walks.
