Engineer – JLL What this job involves: If you have building maintenance experience and want to work for a company that offers stability and growth, consider this exciting opportunity with us at JLL! We are seeking an Engineer to support our client's healthcare facility in Greensboro NC. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical equipment controls, and plumbing, located in the interior and exterior of the building. You will regularly conduct routine and ongoing assessment of building systems operations, perform tests, analyze data, and monitor the operation of all mechanical & electrical operating equipment, contributing directly to JLL's mission of creating transformative solutions for the real estate industry. What your day-to-day will look like:

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and local codes
  • 1+ years of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC experience

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of related trade schooling or college
  • Experience with emergency backup systems (generators, UPS, etc.)
  • Experience with CMMS systems
  • Experience with basic hand tools

Responsibilities

  • Oversee, monitor, and repair the operation and make adjustments of refrigeration, heat exchanger, HVAC, electrical, emergency backup systems, and hot water systems
  • Monitor operation, adjust, and maintain refrigeration, chilled water, and air conditioning equipment; boilers, and ventilating and water heaters; pumps, valves, piping, and filters
  • Analyze the operation of various systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions, and take corrective action as required
  • Perform preventive maintenance on all base building and critical system equipment, completing preventive task sheets and maintaining accurate documentation
  • Install and repair plumbing/piping/tubing; wire single and three-phase motors; run conduit; pull wiring to machinery, motors, and operating parts
  • Maintain tools and order supplies as required for installation and repairs; keep logs, document equipment repairs, close work orders, and track time accurately
  • Provide timely and constant communication with the facility manager and perform other engineering tasks typical of the Engineer role
