About The Position

QED Systems, LLC, is currently recruiting a Systems Engineer to join in support of our PdM COMSEC Production and Post Deployment System Support (PPDSS2) contract. This is a remote role. Duties: Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) support, technical assistance, and transformation collaboration to support the Army’s global COMSEC Modernization efforts. Support events, meetings, demonstrations, exercises, etc., as necessary to facilitate the analysis and implementation of evolving technologies and concept implementations within the Army’s operational environment and across the Army force structure. Evaluate the integration of changes to components with full understanding of the risk and dependencies involved. Develop detailed guidance for secure and compliant systems operations and baselines for traceability and control of changes to systems in scope. Assist in determining the physical and functional characteristics of the system that align with the Software Requirements Specifications and help implement these solutions. Engage with designated entities and Army planners to facilitate technical assessment/integration of COMSEC/key management functionality in terms of the Army Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2) operating environment model and enable fully integrated COMSEC support/sustainment to the Warfighter. Directly engage with Futures Command Cyber, the Army user community, the Doctrinal community and other applicable Army representatives to address implementation design, pertinent impact assessments, operational/capability challenges, and recommended realization strategies.

Requirements

  • Detail-oriented with excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: Secret
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Seven (7) years of related experience required.
  • An additional four (4) years of experience can be substituted for degree.
