About The Position

The Engineer is responsible for ensuring that the property is maintained in the best possible condition at all times with the least amount of inconvenience to customers and employees. The Engineer performs diagnosis, preventive maintenance and repair of building mechanical systems. Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, life safety systems and basic computer skills a must. 2 years trade experience and/or completion of trade school. The Engineer will assist the front office with delivering guest requests. This person will also be required to assist with security in the building - this includes but is not limited to walking the perimeter, assisting with the fire panel, ensuring entrances are locked, etc.

  • Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, life safety systems and basic computer skills
  • 2 years trade experience and/or completion of trade school
  • Ability to stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions for duration of shift.
  • Must be able to work in hot, cold and wet conditions and be able to stoop, kneel, crawl and climb on all types of surfaces.
  • Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders at a rapid pace, up to 30 feet in the air.
  • Grasping, lifting and holding tools and having good finger dexterity is required.
  • Perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances between and within buildings on the property.
  • Lifting and moving objects up to 100 pounds.
