Job Summary: The Engineer VII - Senior Engineering Manager employs creativity , foresight , and mature judgment to anticipate and address unprecedented problems . This role involves making authoritative decisions and recommendations that significantly impact extensive organizational activities . The Engineer VII - Senior Engineering Manager is responsible for setting priorities , reconciling competing interests , and working on programs with complex features .

Requirements

  • Proficient with electronic communication including e-mail and text , as well as standard office applications (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite )
  • Possess exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate skills in persuasion and negotiation of critical issues
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program
  • Professional Engineer (PE) , equivalent, or authorization of CLPO
  • Member of a professional practice organization , national board member or officer, recognized expert on statewide activity , and a resource for national activities and organization

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent
  • 15+ years prior experience
  • Engaged in life-long learning to stay current with contemporary issues
  • Established relationships with railroad clients
  • Business development skills
  • In-depth knowledge of industry standards and guidelines
