Job Summary: The Engineer VI - Project Manager will apply extensive knowledge of engineering principles and practices to various organizational aspects. This role involves using acquired expertise to resolve critical issues and unique conditions while staying updated on new methods and developments. The Engineer VI will recommend improvements or changes to programs and oversee projects of limited complexity and scope.

Requirements

  • Proficient in electronic communications (e-mail, text) and standard office applications (Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills .
  • Ability to lead project meetings and make presentations .
  • Represent the organization and maintain liaison with individuals and related organizations.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program .
  • Professional Engineer (PE) , equivalent, or authorization of CLPO .
  • Membership in a professional practice organization , national board member or officer, or national technical/policy committee member.
  • Supervise a team of engineers and designers .
  • Plan, schedule , or coordinate the preparation of documents or activities for multiple major projects or an entire program .
  • Review operational procedures to ensure compliance with applicable policies and performance measures .

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and analyze the financial performance of client accounts and engineering projects.
  • Identify opportunities for cost control and revenue enhancement .
  • Ensure timely and accurate client invoicing , work in progress (WIP) , and accounts receivable (AR) management.
  • Initiate contact for outstanding ARs (45 days AR/75 days PIC or accounting); ensure client-specific terms are checked.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to develop a list of outstanding ARs and coordinate with Project Accountants for client payment follow-up.
  • Expedite collections and maintain financial integrity .
  • Engage actively in project reviews to ensure quality and alignment with project goals.
  • Contribute to identifying improvements and solutions based on review feedback.
  • Ensure adherence to the Project Delivery Quality Program to maintain quality standards and best practices .
  • Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement within project teams.
  • Develop and enforce scope and pricing reviews to ensure compliance with established rules and standards .
  • Ensure pricing and scope adhere to budget constraints and quality expectations .
  • Oversee and suggest enhancements for the effective use of NetSuite and project delivery processes.
  • Lead a project team for the organization.
  • Stay informed about new developments and requirements to recommend changes in programs or applications.
  • Interpret, organize, execute , and coordinate assignments .
  • Perform other duties as required to meet business needs .
