ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Translate model outputs (duty, flow, ΔT, ΔP, fan/pump curves) into hardware choices for the blower, radiator, condenser, evaporator, reservoir, pumps, valves, and line sizes Architect the system: single vs dual loop, degas and reservoir strategy, fill/bleed points, hose/line routing, quick-connects, brackets, and service access Build parametric NX assemblies, drawings, and mounting schemes; release parts/assemblies in Teamcenter (TC) Own the thermal system BOM and PFEP (part numbers, revisions, lead times, packaging/handling) Drive supplier sourcing, DFM/DFA, and should-cost/quote reviews; align cost with performance targets Run quick checks (hand calcs or simple spreadsheets) to sanity-check model recommendations and guide iterations Define sensor set and control needs (fan maps, pump control, compressor requests) with software/controls Write DVP&R and test plans (cool-down, defrost/defog, hill climbs, hot/cold soak, splash/dust); use test data to confirm model predictions and update the design Support prototype builds (Alpha/Beta/DV/PV); troubleshoot bleed, noise, vibration, and routing issues; close actions with clear root-cause notes Coordinate interfaces with chassis, body, battery, powertrain, and Studio/PDO for packaging and airflow
