What you’ll do Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or industrial design; or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in class A surface design & digital modeling, in a studio environment.
  • Expert-level proficiency in CAD surfacing software, such as CATIA V5, Catia 3D Experience (3DX), Alias, or ICEM surf.
  • Ability to create high-quality class A surface models with proper techniques that deliver the design theme/vision while also capturing feasibility requirements.
  • High understanding of engineering technical inputs and how/why these drive the surface, along with an ability to accurately incorporate these requirements into the surface.
  • Ability to work on either interior or exterior and in any phase of a program with equal dexterity.
  • Strong understanding of overall vehicle development process and how surface releases influence the development process.
  • Strong multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Create high-quality and accurate 3D CAD class A surface models for interiors and exteriors, that capture both engineering criteria and the design theme.
  • Drive issues to resolution by creating surface proposals that satisfy both engineering, production (manufacturing), and studio aesthetic intent.
  • Organize and compile data for reviews and releases, working with internal Scout team + external suppliers.
  • Lead data reviews with engineering and design.
  • Work within development timelines to deliver data for all needed milestones and releases.
