About The Position

Revolutionize the future of audio. Shure is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Staff Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team! We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems Engineer to join our flagship professional wireless audio systems team. As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for shaping, clarifying, negotiating, and designing our hardware, firmware, and Angular/Node based applications and services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions and ensure the highest level of performance, reliability, and scalability. This role is remote, reporting to our Niles, IL HQ office.

Requirements

  • 8+ years’ experience as System Engineer or Software Architect on Angular, Electron, or Cloud products.
  • Strong desire to drive clarity through documentation.
  • Articulate, independent and detail oriented.
  • Programing languages - Node.js, TypeScript, Angular, and JavaScript
  • Experience with Desktop applications. Electron is preferred.
  • Experience with Cloud platforms. AWS is preferred.
  • Extensive technical experience either in infrastructure or production management
  • Knowledge of network products and protocols, including TCP/IP, Firewalls, Load Balancers, and DNS
  • High level of analytical skills in an IT environment
  • Process, tools, and service level improvement experience

Responsibilities

  • Clarify, shape, and bring structure to the new and exciting features of our Professional Audio platform roadmap.
  • Shape and define detailed requirements based on stakeholder interviews and personal experience.
  • Architect, negotiate, and design Angular/Node applications with a focus on AWS and Electron and demonstrate deep technical knowledge.
  • Develop POCs and Reference implementations to validate User Experience flows and Architectural components.
  • Apply standards and research/share best practices.
