This Sr. Systems Engineer will be responsible for design and development of hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, electro-mechanical, servo-mechanism, and electro-pneumatic components and systems. As our Sr. Systems Engineer, you will make critical contributions by holding responsibility for:

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Software, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in a similar systems/design engineering role.
  • Demonstrated strong technical written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with requirements management tools, preferably DOORS (Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System).
  • Proven specific capabilities/competencies in requirements management, verification and validation methods, and integration and test.

Nice To Haves

  • Design of experiments knowledge and experience with failure modes and effects/criticality analysis (FMEA/FMECA) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the internal program teams to provide the systems architecture, interface definition, and requirements validation.
  • Create system-level models, models as requirements, and simulations necessary to support solution architectures with customers during all stages of the development efforts.
  • Lead the design process and provide technical leadership within Moog’s program scope.

  • Lead system or subsystem-level integration and test.
  • Create concise reports and proposal write-ups that describe the design decisions and analysis results.

  • Mentor younger engineers where and when appropriate.
