The Core Platform Software Architecture team at Qualcomm is seeking a talented software architect for our Automotive SoC products. You will be immersed in a highly interactive and dynamic environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to architect cutting-edge Automotive SoC products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • 3+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • 8+ years of experience in architecting complex embedded systems or automotive SoC software/systems.
  • Experience in designing hardware/software interfaces and system design.
  • Ability and willingness to collaborate with various functional organizations distributed globally across multiple sites.
  • Knowledge and experience in some of the following domains: SoC architecture, ARM architecture (including SMMU, CoreSight, virtualization, CCA), RISC-V microcontrollers, Linux kernel and device drivers, Zephyr OS, boot and UEFI software, PCIe/CXL technology and software stack, serial interfaces like I2C/I3C/SPI

Responsibilities

  • Define the software and system architecture for Qualcomm's Automotive SoC products.
  • Collaborate with product management, customers and hardware architecture teams to understand system requirements and use cases.
  • Engage in systems engineering of complex use cases involving software and hardware components across multiple technology domains.
  • Evaluate architectural options and trade-offs and develop architecture proposals and specifications.
  • Continuously review and apply the latest innovations from different business units within Qualcomm to the Automotive SoCs.
