What you’ll do Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following: Your engineering ingenuity, wonder & magic in coming up with a powertrain that supports the concepts will be instrumental in shaping the perception of Scout as a brand, as well as gaining peer admiration in the automotive industry. The essence of this role is to: Support the development, integration, and calibration of the powertrain and drive systems for Scout pickup trucks and SUVs (BEV / EREV)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical field
  • 3+ years of experience in powertrain or drive system development, calibration, and validation within concept or serial vehicle programs, preferably for electric or electrified vehicles (BEV / EREV)
  • Handson experience with inverter calibration and coordination, including torque delivery, efficiency optimization, diagnostic behavior, thermal performance, and drivability
  • Proven experience in function development across the V-model, including requirement definition, interface coordination, test case development, validation, and software release activities
  • Experience developing, integrating, and validating Off-road or drivelinerelated functions, such as mechanical locking differentials, traction or torque based control strategies, or offroad driving modes
  • Practical experience with calibration and validation on testbenches and vehicles, including calibration test trips, structured data analysis, and technical documentation
  • Familiarity with calibration and development tools such as ETAS INCA, MATLAB/Simulink, and data analysis environments
  • Ability to read and understand Simulink models and C-based source code to support calibration, debugging, and functional discussions
  • Experience working with crossfunctional teams and suppliers, coordinating technical topics, timelines, and deliverables in a global development environment
  • Highly motivated, handson engineer with strong ownership, analytical thinking, problemsolving skills, and a passion for electric vehicles and offroad capability

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate inverter calibration activities across internal teams and suppliers, including alignment on requirements, calibration strategy, software maturity, validation status, and release timelines
  • Lead and contribute to inverterrelated calibration topics such as torque delivery, efficiency, thermal behavior, diagnostics, and overall drivability across operating conditions
  • Own the development and calibration of Scoutspecific OffRoad functions, from concept to series release, ensuring a robust and authentic offroad driving experience
  • Define and manage OffRoad function requirements, interfaces, and operating strategies, including support for vehicles equipped with a mechanicallocking differentials and other off-road features
  • Develop and execute test cases for OffRoad and inverter functions across SiL, HiL, testbench, and vehicle testing, including data analysis, documentation, and validation signoff
  • Coordinate OffRoad and inverter software release readiness, ensuring requirement coverage, calibration completeness, and validation compliance with program milestones
  • Work closely with powertrain hardware, chassis, vehicle dynamics, systems engineering, and E/E teams to align on technical solutions
  • Support prototype and vehicle testing activities, including calibration drives, offroad testing, data collection, analysis, and technical reporting
  • Collaborate effectively in a crossfunctional and global environment to deliver integrated, highquality powertrain and OffRoad solutions
