Overview Summary: Responsible for working closely with Assembly, Machine shop and programmers to provide proper engineering assistance to assigned area by performing the following duties. Responsibilities Duties and Responsibilities: Provides technical support to assigned areas to resolve issues and remove roadblocks for production. Analyzes and provides answers to areas as engineering questions arise. Resolve/eliminate MRB issues working together with shop. Communicates and coordinates with customer engineering to resolve engineering related questions Responsible for MRB review coordination with planning and programming for improvement opportunities. Evaluates the sequence of manufacturing processes to improve end product and eliminate waste. Identifies planned operation support requirements and evaluates tooling requirements and improvements to improve manufacturing processes. Evaluates requirements to update and improve work instructions to achieve efficient process flow. Participates in the improvement process by documenting process changes in planning. Proposes feasible solutions for future overall process improvements. Evaluates low yield and repeat MRB items for process improvements. Works directly with shop supervision to identify improvement opportunities and process improvements. Education/Experience: Must have a minimum of 10 years of aerospace manufacturing and/or machining experience. Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities: Must be able to read customer provided drawing(s) Proficient in use of MRP system Knowledgeable in various manufacturing processes Capable of reading portable measuring equipment Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office Suite Physical Demands and Work Environment: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
