Toyota's Production Engineering (PE)-Battery Manufacturing Engineering (BME) Battery Cell Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Engineering Manager to join our Ryohin Joken (Conditions for Good Process and Product) advancement and problem-solving group. This role will support the PE-BME Battery Cell Department's mission to deliver engineering solutions for rapid competitiveness improvements through safety first, people development, and customer focus. Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of engineers and technicians in development & application of Ryohin Joken knowledge and skills through effective planning and problem-solving of pre-production trial activities. Your primary responsibility will be to establish and refine systems and procedures that ensure efficient trial planning, accurate issue identification, thorough root cause analysis, and sustainable issue resolution. You will also drive continuous improvement (kaizen) efforts to prevent recurrence and enhance subsequent projects and activities. In addition to your leadership role within the team, you will contribute to the department's success by supporting Hoshin (Strategic Policy Management) initiatives, developing organizational capabilities, and fostering strong relationships with peers and stakeholders across the company. This position also offers potential for future development through rotation into managing teams responsible for process equipment production preparation, including specification, procurement, installation, and trial activities.
