About The Position

Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledges technical, schedule and cost constraints. Develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for completing systems. Coordinates integrated testing activities. Reviews and evaluates test requirements to insure completeness of test program. Performs technical analysis of complete systems and prepares comprehensive system level evaluations. Ideal candidate will understand adherence to customer contractual needs and requirements of Reactor Instrumentation and Control systems. Testing within technical, schedule and cost constraints. Development, preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for completing testing of Reactor Instrumentation and Control systems. Coordination of integrated testing activities. Review and evaluation of test requirements to ensure completeness of test program. Perform technical analysis of complete systems and prepare comprehensive system level evaluations. Position often reviews work of others for soundness of technical judgment, overall adequacy and accuracy.  Must HaveLead Test Engineer (LTE) or Ship Safety Officer (SSO) or Watch Supervisor or Watch Officer Certification or Trade REC Coordinator (TRC) and Trade REC Oversight Agent (TROA) Certification and 4 years of relevant professional/exempt experience.

  • Lead Test Engineer (LTE) or Ship Safety Officer (SSO) or Watch Supervisor or Watch Officer Certification or Trade REC Coordinator (TRC) and Trade REC Oversight Agent (TROA) Certification
  • 4 years of relevant professional/exempt experience.

Nice To Haves

  • A1B Nuclear / Propulsion experience.
  • Previous qualification as SME/STE.
  • Experience with Type II Reactor Instrumentaiton and Control systems.
  • Experience with TMDE and SCAT code requirements.
  • Comprehensive understanding of NAVSEA 0989-031-4000 requirements and methods.
