About The Position

About the Role The Engineering Intern will gain hands-on experience across multiple technical and operational areas within our manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a Mechanical or Chemical Engineering student who is eager to learn, welcomes feedback, and is ready to contribute to real engineering and production activities. The intern will rotate through several departments, gaining broad exposure to engineering processes, equipment, and production operations. Program Overview Interns participate in rotations across Plant Engineering, Applications Engineering, Production, the Machine Shop, Quality Control, and Maintenance. This structure provides meaningful insight into how engineering decisions support manufacturing efficiency, product quality, customer applications, and overall operational performance.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Sophomore standing or higher
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Open to feedback, willing to take on varied responsibilities, and eager to learn
  • Organized, professional, and personable in interactions with cross-functional teams

Nice To Haves

  • SolidWorks or AutoCAD coursework is beneficial

Responsibilities

  • Participate in rotational assignments across engineering, production, machining, quality, and maintenance functions
  • Support activities involving chemical process equipment, pumps, motors, and related maintenance systems
  • Gain hands-on experience with advanced machining equipment including CNC routers, lathes, milling machines, and other precision tools
  • Assist with engineering tasks, troubleshooting, documentation, and project-based work
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support daily operations and continuous improvement efforts
  • Demonstrate professionalism, strong communication, and a willingness to learn
