By joining our Materials Section as an Engineer-in-Training I in Pulaski County, you’ll have the opportunity to work on roadway construction projects performing testing and inspection of asphalt, concrete, soil and other materials incorporated into highway construction projects while developing your engineering skills under the guidance of a Licensed Professional Engineer. Summary of Responsibilities: Performs engineering tasks in highway materials Conducts laboratory testing and analysis on collected material samples, performing tests such as gradations, density, moisture content, and mix design verification to ensure specification compliance Coordinates and performs field sampling and testing of asphalt, concrete, soil, etc. Ideal Candidate will have experience in: Materials testing and inspection on highway construction projects Laboratory testing procedures for asphalt, concrete, and soil materials Reading and interpreting engineering plans and specifications Technical documentation and record keeping Benefits and Perks: Comprehensive health with optional dental and vision insurance Retirement savings Professional development opportunities and ongoing training A collaborative and innovative work environment Employee wellness program.
