About The Position

This position is a member of the Manufacturing Plant team, supporting plant-level operations through capital planning, project management, and facility IT infrastructure management. The role partners closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Finance, and Information Systems to plan, prioritize, and execute capital projects, improve facility capabilities, and ensure reliable plant IT and automation infrastructure while acting as a key liaison between the plant and corporate support functions to drive operational effectiveness, technology enablement, and continuous improvement across manufacturing facilities, and may include leadership or direct supervision of maintenance or repair crews as needed to support plant objectives.

Requirements

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical degree required
  • 6 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree.
  • Standard computer skills; Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools required; ability to create written documentation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present difficult concepts in understandable terms to all levels of the organization.
  • Extensive knowledge of and experience with the business processes related to consumer products manufacturing; excellent consultative leadership and interpersonal skills; organized results-oriented focus.
  • Extensive travel is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Management of Consumer Products Manufacturing experience desired.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing execution in an environment of Supply Chain Optimization Production Planning Detailed Production Scheduling and Process Costing desired.
  • familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems and SAP MM QM and PP PI modules a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Leading manufacturing plant capital planning activities such as identification, justification, prioritization, and tracking of capital projects; developing capital project business cases, scope definitions, cost estimates, schedules, and return-on-investment analyses
  • Managing plant capital projects from concept through execution and closeout while ensuring adherence to scope, budget, schedule, and safety requirements; coordinating cross-functional project teams including Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Safety, Finance, vendors, and contractors
  • Providing project management oversight for facility upgrades, equipment installations, process improvements, and infrastructure enhancements
  • Serving as the plant point of contact for facility IT infrastructure including plant networks, servers, shop-floor systems, and connectivity to enterprise systems
  • Partnering with Information Systems and Automation teams to support reliable operation of plant IT and manufacturing systems
  • Identifying and mitigating risks related to facility infrastructure, cybersecurity, system reliability, and technology obsolescence
  • Analyzing plant processes and facility layouts to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, capacity expansion, cost reduction, and risk mitigation
  • Supporting the implementation of standardized project management and capital governance processes
  • Ensuring compliance with corporate standards, regulatory requirements, and safety policies across all projects
  • Creating and maintaining project documentation such as charters, schedules, cost tracking, risk registers, and post-project reviews
  • Providing accurate and timely status reports to plant and corporate leadership on capital spend, project progress, and key risks
  • Mentoring and supporting plant team members in project management, capital planning, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Promoting effective utilization of technology and infrastructure to support operational excellence and long-term plant strategy
