About The Position

The Engineer III of Network is responsible for implementation, installation, and configuration for new and existing network infrastructure components. In addition, providing design and planning for incorporating new network technologies according to industry best practices, as well as documentation and support for these technologies.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or related field required OR equivalent experience (degree preferred)
  • 4 - 7 years' experience in the MIS or Information Technology field, including at least 3 years in a network engineering role or equivalent, including proven experience managing a multi-site, multi-provider, heterogeneous network
  • Demonstrated proficiency documenting network architecture, topology, and configurations
  • Recent experience with Cisco routing, switching, and security technologies
  • Foundational understanding of telephony concepts such as PBX and VoIP
  • Hands on experience with SDN and SD-WAN
  • Possess math skills sufficient to perform required duties
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience

Nice To Haves

  • Microsoft Certifications such as MCSE are preferred

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and connectivity, including network switches, routers, wireless access points and firewalls, as appropriate
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot network hardware, connectivity, and firmware/software, as appropriate
  • Work with vendors and PODS leadership to plan and implement new network technologies to insure the company's business systems are secure
  • Plan for and coordinate network growth
  • Provide high-level (tier 3) user support via a variety of methods and provide technical expertise to users by verbal and/or written means
  • Provide on-call support for network systems as necessary
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
