An engineer within NGGP’s Infrastructure Planning group is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and advancing infrastructure growth. This team works with Commercial, Asset Engineering, Business Development Engineering, Supply Chain, and Major Projects Engineering, translating volume forecasts and commercial opportunities into executable, well scoped projects. Infrastructure Planning leads early stage project development by analyzing producer drilling activity, evaluating and tracking system volume forecasts, and identifying infrastructure needs related to compression, pipelines, and processing. The group supports project viability through economic analysis, funding justification, and budget forecasting while ensuring alignment with approved project charters and corporate financial processes. Key duties include facilitating producer volume tracking, project funding approvals, managing spend forecasts and lookbacks, maintaining equipment and material inventory strategies, and coordinating regularly with cross functional stakeholders. Infrastructure Planning plays a critical role in ensuring infrastructure solutions are appropriately sized, cost effective, and aligned with long term system optimization and commercial growth objectives. Performs intermediate level engineering and/or project management duties related to one or more functional areas that may include: pipeline system planning and analysis, gathering system operation, gas and liquids measurement, gas analysis, and measurement station design; processing and/or storage facility operation; and/or estimating, designing, and coordinating construction projects.
