About The Position

The Engineer II performs preventative and repair maintenance work to ensure the hotel is maintained according to established quality and sustainability standards while treating guests in a warm and friendly manner. This role assists with preventative maintenance and completes work orders related to replacing and repairing ceiling tiles, sheet-rock, and wallpaper. Responsibilities also include installing or repairing sheetrock and other wall coverings, painting designated areas and items, replacing basic electrical fixtures, light switches, receptacles, light bulbs, and fixtures, and performing minor plumbing functions. A key focus is on guest satisfaction scores, working to increase departmental and overall guest satisfaction, and following Service Recovery Guidelines. The Engineer II is also responsible for maintaining the curb appeal, including snow removal, lawn care, gardening, and trash removal. The position requires practicing safe work habits, wearing protective safety equipment, and complying with MSDS and OSHA standards.

Requirements

  • High School diploma
  • Previous maintenance experience or equivalent training required.

Nice To Haves

  • Trade school course work in related field preferred.

Responsibilities
