About The Position

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field required.
0-3 years of relevant experience performing engineering or technical work in relevant discipline, Southern California experience preferred, as well as water market experience preferred.
Working knowledge of design and construction drawings/plans, including an ability to integrate water system designs within a larger, multidisciplinary project environment.
Working knowledge of agency design standards, design guidelines, and other industry-recognized best practices.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Engineer in Training License (EIT) preferred.
Microsoft Project (Scheduling) preferred.

Responsibilities

Supports Clients and Projects while assisting Project Managers and Project Engineers.
Supports preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E).
Working knowledge of and proficiency in AutoCAD software(s) in support of design and construction drawings.
Supports preparation of technical memoranda, basis of designs reports, preliminary engineering reports, and other written technical engineering documents.
Supports preparation of engineering calculations and other process-driven solutions.
Reviews, understands, and honors Project Scope of Work/Services, Budgets, and Schedules.
Interprets data, thinks critically, solves problems, applies good judgement, and works diligently in support of our objectives.
Applies basic design principles and techniques in support of solving Client objectives.
