The Engineer II - NPI position involves performing general engineering methods and tools, potentially utilizing advanced technologies and engineering concepts within the medical device industry. This role ensures that Integer’s internal and external customer expectations are met or exceeded, operating with occasional direction and guidance from more experienced engineers and managers. The incumbent must adhere to Integer’s Values and all safety, environmental, security, and quality requirements, including Quality Management Systems (QMS), FDA regulations, company policies, and other regulatory standards. The Engineer II will generally work independently to evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, making minor adaptations and modifications as needed. Responsibilities include reviewing procedures and plans, evaluating existing products, processes, and materials for failure analysis and potential improvements, and participating in projects to investigate, develop, document, and implement new product and process technologies of moderate complexity. The role requires demonstrating proactive insight into technical challenges, mitigating potential issues, and incorporating improvements. The engineer will plan, schedule, and execute engineering work within larger projects or lead smaller scope projects, applying standard quality management and production system methodologies to identify opportunities for product and process improvements. This includes using data analysis to establish root causes for failures and justify improvements. Collaboration, continuous learning, and a strong commitment to quality are essential, with an expectation to champion the development and deployment of systems and tools for innovation and continuous improvement, supporting Integer’s Manufacturing Excellence and Market Focused Innovation Strategies.
