About The Position

As an engineer at Biogen, you will support the development and technology investment of cell culture manufacturing processes for recombinant protein production in the pilot scale cell culture development laboratory. The successful candidate will: - Conduct and document laboratory bioreactor experiments with a focus on material generation and bioreactor scale-up/modeling, assist in experimental design and troubleshooting, and analyze data. - Work closely with drug substance small scale and manufacturing science tech transfer teams for execution of development projects. A background in continuous manufacturing and advanced process analytical modeling is desired. Additional responsibilities require general understanding and willingness to support harvest activities and downstream operations. Candidates must be strong team players and have an ability to collaborate effectively on complex projects. Some flexible schedule/weekend work required. LI-POT6

• Knowledge of mammalian cell culture/ biotechnology related development including aseptic operations, cell biology, biochemistry, analytical techniques, and bioreactor operations as applied to pilot scale stainless and disposable equipment.
